Carrie Underwood also gives her help to contribute to her home town. As she was finishing her Blown Away tour she goes home with $1 million dollars in a donation to American Red Cross for the disaster relief. The money has come from the earnings from the concert proceeds. “with the help of my fans who attended my concerts over the past year, we can offer the Red Cross a little extra help in comforting those affected by the recent tornadoes.” She says. Chief development officer for the Red Cross said “Through the generosity of Carrie, the American Red Cross can quickly respond with shelter, food and comfort now and with lasting help as they move toward recovery.” I think this is a great thing to do in the world. And the people who have helped with the disaster that has happened should be very proud they can help people when in the time of need. People are grateful for the things that you people have done for them. It’s amazing how people can care for people from where they grew up. My mom told me today helping and going back to where you came from keeps you grounded meaning it helps you remember where you’re from.
